Paul Henderson Jersey Tour stops in Chatham Saturday
Chatham, ON – Most Canadians remember the moment. If they’re not old enough to remember it, they’ve still seen it replayed time and again. Paul Henderson’s goal in the 1972 Summit Series between Canada and Russia is an iconic moment in Canadian history.
Saturday, Chatham-Kent residents can relive the moment, view hockey memorabilia, play interactive games, and of course, see Paul Henderson’s 1972 Summit Series jersey as the Henderson Jersey Tour rolls into Chatham.
The cross Canada tour, which was put on by SmartCentres will be at the Chatham SmartCentres location at 801 St. Clair Street in Chatham between 12pm and 3pm this Saturday, February 5th. This interactive experience of Canadian hockey history is completely free.
That same morning, Fergie Jenkins will also be appearing at the Chatham Armoury in recognition of his commemorative Canada Post Stamp and Black History Month.
