Canadiens Sink Sharks in 6-2 Game 3 Win
Home ice has been a key factor so far in the Great Lakes Junior C final with each team winning their games at home. That trend stood true Friday night in Belle River as the Canadiens downed the Wheatley Sharks 6-2 to take a 2-1 series lead.
Shawn Quigley and captain Andy Stevenson had the only goals for the Wheatley Sharks, while Belle River scored by committee with six different players hitting the scoresheet. Mike Ditty, Chris DiNatale, Shane Noel, Derek Haskell, Dylan Impens, and Robert Ienna scored for the Canadiens. Ditty also added 2 assists, while regular season scoring king Scott Chauvin has 3 helpers.
Even during Wheatley’s game 2 win, the Belle River Canadiens seemed to have carried the play outshooting the Sharks in each game.
Game 4 returns to Wheatley Area Arena this Monday at 7:30pm.
