Houston Scores at NCAA Tourney as Adrian Advances to Frozen Four
Chatham native Brad Houston came up big when his Adrian College Bulldogs needed it most. After falling behind 2-0 in the first period of their NCAA Division III Tournament quarterfinal game against Elmira, Houston and his Adrian College teammates staged a dramatic comeback to win 5-3 and advance to the Frozen Four.
As the second period started, Houston hit the score sheet with an assist, feeding linemate Sam Kuzyk. Then, midway through the second period, Houston scored his 14th goal of the season, tying the score at 2-2.
From that moment on, there was no looking back for the Adrian College Bulldogs as they added three more goals before the final buzzer rang.
Adrian and Chatham’s Brad Houston now have two weeks to prepare for their semi-final, Frozen Four against Oswego State. The game will be played in Minneapolis at 3:30pm on March 25. Oswego enters the game as the third ranked team in the country, with a 22-4-0 record.
