WDSS and CKSS Do Battle in High School Soccer

Chatham-Kent Secondary School narrowly won the afternoon series against Wallaceburg District Secondary School in boys and girls senior KCSSAA soccer Monday.

In the senior boys soccer league, Wallaceburg and the CKSS Golden Hawks played to a 2-2 tie. Wallaceburg led 2-0 after the first half, but CKSS stormed back on goals by Dylan Bell and Tyler Charron to tie the game. Mike Foster played an excellent game for the Wallaceburg Tartans scoring both goals and being named game star.

Also in Wallaceburg, the Tartans narrowly fell 1-0 to the Golden Hawks in Senior Girls soccer. Hannah Kennedy scored the lone goal of the game while Kailey Houston collected the shutout.

The UCC Lancers and John McGregor Panthers also played although scores were not available at the time this article was published.

Wallaceburg is back in action Tuesday in both boys and girls soccer against the Ursuline College Lancers in Chatham.
