Wallaceburg’s Seth Griffith picked up where he left off last year during the OHL playoffs with a big performance Sunday afternoon against the Windsor Spitfires.

After Griffith’s London Knights fell behind 2-0 in game two of their best-of-seven series against Windsor on a pair of Nick Czinder goals, Griffith put together a big second period to lift the Knights back into the game.

On the powerplay, Griffith scored with less than two minutes left in the second period, with assists going to Olli Maatta, and Greg McKegg to pull the Knights within one.

Then, a minute later with only 22-seconds left in the period, Griffith potted his second powerplay goal of the game from Maatta and Ryan Rupert to tie the game.

In the third, veteran Austin Watson would score the game winner for London lifting the Knights to a 3-2 win, and a two game lead in the series.

Seth Griffith also played with an edge in the game, picking up two minor penalties, one for roughing and one for head checking.

Griffith, who picked up an assist in game one, now has 3 points in two games. Last year, Griffith lead the Knights with 7-points in an opening round 6 game loss.

Game three of the series takes place Monday night in London, puck drop at 7:00pm.
