The second time was a charm for Wallaceburg, Ontario’s Seth Griffith as he was selected in the 2012 NHL Draft by the Boston Bruins. Griffith was taken in the 5th round, 131st overall.

This season, Griffith represented the OHL in the Subway Super Series against Russia and was named an OHL second team all-star after leading the London Knights in scoring and helping them to the Memorial Cup final.

Griffith scored 45 goals and added 40 assists in 68 games for the London Knights this season. In the playoffs, he added 23 points in 19 games, which included the OHL championship clinching goal.

Last season, Griffith went undrafted but impressed scouts with his improved skating and deft scoring touch. He was an invite to the Tampa Bay Lightning’s rookie camp last summer and played well with the organizations top prospects.

The Boston Bruins finished second in the Eastern Conference a year removed from winning the Stanley Cup.
