Wallaceburg’s Seth Griffith was honoured Thursday evening in London at the annual London Knights award ceremony. Griffith was given the Don Brankley Award for community service, and the Sportsmanship and Ability Award.

Leading the OHL in scoring at one point last season before his year was derailed by a wrist injury, Griffith was on pace to clean up the 2012-2013 London Knights Award Ceremony, but instead, the Knights’ major honours when to Max Domi.

A 5th round selection of the Boston Bruins in last year’s NHL draft, Griffith is eligible to return to the London Knights for an overage season, but is planning to, and has been slated to start the season with the American Hockey League’s Providence Bruins.

A return to the London Knights would guarantee Griffith his third straight Memorial Cup appearance, meaning the talented forward would miss his opportunity to turn professional.

Last season with the London Knights, Griffith had 33 goals and 48 assists.
