Eric Palazzolo had 2 goals for the Maroons, while captain Michael Verboom had 1 goals and 3 assists in the win. Darien Ekblad made 15-saves in the win, while Connor Doran and James McEwan had the other Chatham Maroons goals.
In the Great Lakes Junior C loop, the Wheatley Sharks came from behind to beat the Mooretown Flags 6-5 on the road Saturday. Tilbury’s Eric Rivard had 2 goals and an assist in the win, while Brendon Anger and Jon Woelk each had a goal and 2 assists. Mike Reid and Lucas Raffoul had the other Wheatley markers.
