CKSS Burns Flames For Title

The Chatham-Kent Secondary School Golden Hawks Junior Girls Volleyball team won their second tournament championship of the season Saturday at Chatham Christian.

In pool play, the CKSS Junior girls defeated the UCC midgets, ESPC midgets and split with McGregor.

The semi-final had the Golden Hawks facing the ESPC Patriotes Junior squad, with CKSS winning two straight.

The championship featured the home school, the Chatham Christian Flames and the CKSS Juniors. CKSS took the championship in 2 straight with 25-16 and 25-22 scores.

The CKSS Golden Hawks have competed in 5 tournaments and have been in every championship match this season.

The Kent Junior seeding tournament for AA-AAAA happens this Tuesday in Wallaceburg.
