The Kent Fillies Midget C girls hockey team finished off a strong season Wednesday with a loss to Lambeth in the WOGHL championship.

After finishing first in the regular season, the Kent Fillies girls were shutout by Lambeth 3-0 in the final.

As the league runner up, the Fillies still have high hopes for the Ontario Provincials, which run from April 10 to the 14 in Vaughan, Ontario.

The Kent Fillies eliminated Ilderton to advance to the finals. They opened the series with a 3-3 tie last week, with goals from Rachel Cameron, Danica Drewery, and Miah St. Pierre. In game two last Friday, the Fillies were shutout 1-0, to set up the deciding game Wednesday.

Team members include Kaysey Dorssers, Tori Winters, Cassidy Wammes, Ryanne Logan, Miah St.Pierre, Brooke Sullivan, Haley Smith, Alex Vanek, Danica Drewery, Rachel Cameron, Mckenzie Wilson, Megan Van Mol, Val Gotelaer, Adrianna Long, Shelby Heyink, and Karleigh Murphy. The Coaching Staff is Dan St.Pierre, Marty Vanek, Katryna Heyink, and Pete Van Mol.
