All Chatham Final Set For Senior Soccer

The Chatham-Kent Secondary School Golden Hawks, and Ursuline College Lancers ensured it would be an all Chatham final in both Senior boys and girls soccer, after both schools won their respective semi-finals matches Tuesday.

In senior girls action, Brooke Armstrong scored the only goal, eight minutes into overtime for the CKSS Golden Hawks, as they edged the Wallaceburg Tartans. Brittany McLaren picked up the shutout in goal for the Golden Hawks.

UCC also shutout their semi-final opponent, the John McGregor Panthers. Emily McFeat scored a late first half goal to put UCC ahead 1-0. In the second half, Kennedy King scored off a header, while Megan Robert had the other Lancers goal and Kaylee Boulley had the shutout.

On the boys side, Tyrone Mulder and Trevor Niven scored for the CKSS Golden Hawks in a 2-1 win over Wallaceburg. Kevin Kellet scored the lone goal for the Wallaceburg Tartans in the loss.

In the other semi-final, Keegan Pittuck scored a hat trick for the UCC Lancers in a 6-0 win over the Pain Court Patriotes.Taylor Broad, Neel McGregor, and Alex Bernardi also scored, while Tyler Torrieri had the shutout.

The Kent final will take place this Thursday.
