Kellier, Prins Win OFSAA Gold

A pair of Chatham, Ontario athletes won gold at the OFSAA Track and Field Championships this week in Toronto.

CKSS’ Josh Kellier, a grade 12 student, won gold in the 2000m steeplechase with a time of 5:59.30.

Kellier, who was fifth last year at OFSAA, won gold at the Royal Canadian Legion National Championships this summer in steeplechase, competing in British Columbia.

Also winning gold at OFSAA was Chatham Christian’s Carolyn Prins. Prins captured gold in the midget girls triple jump with a jump of 11.27m. She also won silver in the long jump, leaping 5.49m.

McGregor’s Anthony Atkinson also medalled in the opening days of OFSAA, winning a silver medal in shot put with a throw of 16.54m.
