Thamesville’s Trent Fox and Chatham’s Joseph Raaymakers both had their names listed on the NHL Central Scouting Preliminary NHL Draft Watch List this week.

Fox, who plays for the OHL’s Hamilton Bulldogs was draft eligible in 2015, but when unselected. The nearly six-foot-three forward was given a “C Rating” which means he’s projected as a 4th, 5th, or 6th round prospect.

Raaymakers, who is approaching his first NHL draft, is a goaltender for the OHL’s Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds.

A hair over six-feet tall, Raaymakers was an invitee to Canada’s U17 and U18 camps over the past year, and opened the season strong with a win and overtime loss in his first two starts. Raaymakers was also given a “C Rating.”

Other Chatham-Kent products in the OHL who are eligible for this year’s draft including Nolan Gardiner (Ottawa 67s), Levi Tetrault (Guelph Storm), Brock Philips (Guelph Storm), and Brendan Harrogate (Mississauga Steelheads), were not given initial ratings.

The 2016 NHL Draft will take place June 24-25 in Buffalo, New York.
