Pataki, Queens Tame The Lions
Wallaceburg’s Jonah Pataki and the Queen’s University Gaels tamed the roaring York Lions 33-32.
York struck first, driving the ball 80-yards to eventually score of a 5 -yard scamper from running back Jesse Amankwaa.
Their lead wasn’t safe for long, as Jonah ran the 48-yards for his first of two touchdowns of that afternoon.
Up 13-10, Jonah’s number was once again called, punching it in from York’s two-yard line, helping Queen’s get up 20-10.
York wasn’t giving up that easy, scoring 2 field goals and a 50-yard interception for a touchdown. York went to the locker room at half with a 22-20 lead over Queen’s.
Queens eventually, fought and clawed their way back and took the game with a clutch field goal by kicker Dillon Wamsley.
Pataki rushed for 119-yards on 14 attempts, while putting two touchdowns on the board.
Jonah has had a break out season, rushing for 256-yards and 4 touchdowns.
The Gaels currently sit tied for 4th place in the OUA with a 5-2 record. Queen`s will be playing Lauier
(3-4) on Saturday as they push for the playoffs.
