CKXS-Morning-Sports-BriefsWallaceburg’s Seth Griffith is set to suit up with the Boston Bruins.  Griffith has been called up from Providence.

The Sarnia Sting have their backs against the wall as the Saulte Ste Marie Greyhounds lead the series 3 games to 1 as they stung the Sting 3-2 last night in the OHL playoffs.  The North Bay Battalion shut out the Peterborough Pete’s 2 – 0 to knot up the series at 2 games apiece.  The two teams will try to break the tie tonight when they face each other again.  The Erie Otters are the first team to move onto the next round.  A 6-4 win last night and the Otters sweep the series with Saginaw. The Windsor Spitfires again face elimination tonight when they Kitchener for game 5 of their series.  London will be looking to knock off Owen Sound tonight in game 5 of their series the Knights lead 3 games to 1.

Chatham’s Aimee Willimott is in Quebec this weekend looking to get her 4th National Boxing Championship

Wallaceburg’s Jordon Durston and the Vancouver Stealth will be taking on the Toronto Rock in the National Lacrosse League on Saturday night.

The Wallaceburg Thrashers Jr B lacrosse team opens up training camp this weekend.  Training camp will be held at the Dresden Arena.  Full details are available at the Thrashers website.

Peewee Travel Football tryouts will be on April the 10th and for the next 4 consecutive Sundays after that.  Indoor tryouts will be at John McGregor School, outdoor tryouts will be at CKSS
