Through their first 6 games this season, the Wallaceburg Red Devils have proven themselves to be a difficult team to beat.

The Red Devils opened their Ontario Junior B Lacrosse League schedule with a 4-1-1 record to sit atop the Far West Division.

Playing three games in three nights over the weekend, the Red Devils took an 8-6 win over the Point Edward Pacers Friday, beat the Niagara Thunderhawks 8-7 Saturday, but ran out of gas Sunday, suffering their first loss of the season, a 13-12 nailbiter to divisional rival, the Windsor Clippers.

In their only other meeting this season, the Clipper and Red Devils played to a tie.

Corey Lucier and AP player Tanner Cole have been the offensive powers for the Wallaceburg Red Devils to open the season. Lucier has 10 goals and 26 points in 6 games. Cole leads the team in goals with 11, and has 20 points to open the year.

Wallaceburg hosts the Point Edward Pacers Wednesday night at 7:30pm.
