Seth Griffith Makes Sabres Debut Tonight
The next chapter for Seth Griffith starts now.
The 24-year-old Wallaceburg native makes his regular season debut for the Buffalo Sabres tonight, opening the 2017-18 NHL season at home to the Montreal Canadiens.
Griffith earned a roster spot after impressing management during training camp and the pre-season, notching a goal and an assist in four games.
Sabres faithful are led to believe Griffith may be paired with the club’s top guns to start the season. Seth skated alongside Buffalo’s top line with Jack Eichel and Evander Kane in their final pre-season game. Coaches noticed their cohesiveness and the trio remained together during practice this past weekend. Griffith was also paired with Sam Reinhart previously.
Griff has six goals and ten assists through 58 NHL games played. The C-K product has proven to be a top talent at the AHL level. Griffith and the Sabres both hope to see that promise develop this season.
Buffalo welcomes Montreal this evening at 7pm.
