The Chatham Peewee BB Outlaws and Chatham Atom B Outlaws both won gold this past weekend at the annual Cambridge Girls Hockey Tournament.

Chatham’s Peewee entry went 3-0 in pool play beating the Lakeshore Lightning 4-0, Ancaster Avalanche 3-1, and Peterborough Ice Kats 3-0 in pool play.

Leading the way with multiple points in the round robin were Hudson Denure with one goal and four assists, Jeanette Legere with a goal and three assists, Meghan Fife and Ally Fisher with two goals each, and Libby Pink with a goal and an assist. Savana Smith, Dakota Marchand, and Lilly Fisher also scored.

In the gold medal game, Chatham played a rematch against Ancaster. After a 0-0 regulation, the game went into 3-on-3 overtime where Jeanette Legere, with assists going to Libby Pink and Emily DeBrouwer secured the win. Hunter Escott had the shutout in goal.

The Chatham Outlaws Atom B team played against BB competition, and won gold as well.

Chatham defeated the Grand River Mustangs 3-2, Peterborough Ice Kats 2-1, and lost to the North Halton Twisters 3-1 in round robin play. Jocalin Hastings had three goals and an assist, Averie Stephens had a goal and an assist, and Ava St. Germain and Julia Strevel each scored.

In the semi-finals, Chatham faced a tough Sudbury Wolves team, but prevailed with a 3-1 win. Tessa Vandehogen had a pair of goals, and Jocalin Hastings had a goal and two assists, while Hayden Heinhuis had two assists in the win.

Facing the Grand River Mustangs again in the final, Jocalin Hastings continued to lead the way scoring twice, while Ava St. Germain scored the other to lift Chatham to a 3-2 win and the gold medal. Mya Summers was in net for all games for Chatham.
