Deni Goure Named Alliance Player of the Year

Deni Goure has been named the Alliance ‘AAA’ Minor Midget Player of the Year.

The highly touted OHL Draft prospect, scored 22 goals and 53 points in 32 games this season while captaining the Chatham-Kent Cyclones.

He also appeared in five regular season games for the GOJHL’s Chatham Maroons notching 3 points.

Announced at the OHL Cup, other league winners include Shane Wright for the GTHL, who was recently granted exceptional status for this year’s OHL draft and is expected to go first overall, Brenden Sirizzotti (ETA), Mason McTavish (HEO), Jack Michaelis (HNO), Chase Stillman (NOHA), and Lawson Sherk (SCTA).

The last Chatham-Kent product to win the Alliance Player of the Year honours was Travis Konecny, who now plays for the NHL’s Philadelphia Flyers. Konecny played for the Elgin-Middlesex Chiefs in his draft year.
