The Wallaceburg Thunderhawks are back in the win column after defeating the Wheatley Sharks 5-3 Saturday night.

Josh Remsik scored twice for Wallaceburg, while newly acquired goalie Nolan Hakr stopped 54 shots in the win. Hakr joined the Thunderhawks from Lakeshore, playing his first game Friday night, a narrow 3-2 loss to Dresden.

Jake Vancoillie and Myles Fraser each chipped in with a goal and an assist, and former Shark Jeremy Oriet had the other Thunderhawks goal.

Wheatley Sharks goal scorers were Alex Anastaskos, Alixe Saliba, and Drew Denomy.

Wallaceburg had been struggling through a 15-game losing streak, after an early season win against Wheatley.
