An upcoming Junior hockey showcase in Erie, Pennsylvania is set to showcase some of the OHL’s top NHL Draft eligible players prior to the 2021 draft, including Grande Pointe’s Deni Goure.

Goure, who was given a “B” rating by NHL Central Scouting on their January Players To Watch list, has not played this season due to the cancellation of the OHL season.

This will be his opportunity to showcase his skills to NHL scouts.

“It is really important to me to be able to go and finally get into some competitive games, it’s been over a year so it’s good to get back into it,” Goure told CKSN.

“Without an OHL season I was really happy to hear about this and get an opportunity to prove myself and hopefully have some success in the showcase.”

The PBHH Invitational, as the showcase has been named, will run from May 31 until June 13, with games and practices taking place every day during that span. The event will culminate with a “Top Prospects” event on June 13.

The 5’10” forward had 25 points in 62 games last season for the OHL’s Owen Sound Attack, but showed his biggest improvements in the seasons second half.

The NHL Draft will take place on July 23 and 24.
