U18 Jr. Kings are Bradford Blue & White Local League champions

The Dresden Jr. Kings U18 White team won the Bradford Blue & White Local League tournament on January 8 in Bradford, Ontario.

In Game 1 the Kings beat the Port Credit Storm 7-1. Maddux Stewart and Xavier Heuvelmans scored two goals each with singles going to Kohen Cudney, Max Lucier, and Williem Seguin. Heuvelmans, Alexandra Heuvelmans, Kelton Cudney each had two assists, with singles going to Stewart, Kohen Cudney, Jackson Ross, Jake Bellamy, Dylan Badder, and Marty Elliott.

The Kings beat Wasaga Beach 6-0 in Game 2, with goals coming from Owen Tuckwell with two, and Stewart, Lucier, Seguin, and Xavier Heuvelmans scoring one goal each. Assists went to Elliott, Xavier Heuvelmans, and Kelton Cudney with two each, and Bellamy, Seguin, Alexandra Heuvelmans, Kohen Cudney, Alex Wallace, and Connor Ross chipping in 1 each. Cody Moulton earned the shutout.

In Game 3 the Kings defeated the Meadowvale Hawks 4-1 with goals coming from Elliott with two, and Seguin, and Heuvelmans adding one each. Assists went to Seguin with two and J. Ross, C.Ross, Tuckwell, Wallace, X.Heuvelmns, and Kohen Cudney getting one each.

The Kings beat a tough Kirkland Lake team 4-3 in overtime in the semi final with Tuckwell scoring 2:37 into four on four overtime. Seguin, Stewart, and X.Heuvelmans scored the other goals, with Bellamy, X.Heuvelmans getting two each and Seguin, J. Ross, Tuckwell and Kohen Cudney with one each.

In the finals against the undefeated Belmont Rangers team, the Kings won a tight game 3-0 with Moulton playing great in net and picking up the shutout. Kohen Cudney scored the winning goal in the first period. He also scored another empty net goal to ice the game with Seguin scoring another empty net goal to finish the scoring. Assists went to Seguin and Heuvelmans with two each, and Tuckwell, and J. Ross each adding one.
