U15 Eagles going to Canadian championships

The Chatham Golden Eagles have booked their trip to the Canadian under-15 girls’ softball championship Aug. 13-17 in Winkler, Manitoba.

The Golden Eagles qualified as Ontario’s second entry by going 6-2 at the three-day qualifying tournament held earlier this month in Windsor.

They were undefeated in pool play.

The team is fundraising to help pay of the team’s travel costs.
