Maroons name their on-ice leaders
The Chatham Maroons have named their assistant captains for the upcoming Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League season.
Josh Harding, Ian Lachance and Bo Doxtator will all wear the A on their jersey.
The Maroons announced earlier this summer that Dylan Richter will be their captain. Richter joined the Maroons last season at the trading deadline in a trade with Strathroy.
Harding is 19 years old and from Windsor. He began his GOJHL career with the LaSalle Vipers and was moved to the Maroons in 2024.
Going into his third season in Chatham, Harding was a key part of the defensive core of the Maroons last year—adding 19 points in 44 regular season games, and six points in 24 playoff games.
Doxtator hails from Corunna, and was picked up by the Maroons in the off-season. Doxtator, 20, brings experience, as he has played in 149 junior hockey games, including 45 with the Estevan Bruins in the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League last year.
A fan favourite and a draft pick of the OHL’s Saginaw Spirit, Lachance had a strong rookie year last year with the Maroons, putting up 51 points (26 goals and 25 assists) in 45 games. The Timmins native added 22 points in 24 playoff games on the Maroons Sutherland Cup run.
