McPherson signs PWHL contract with Toronto

Chatham’s Jessie McPherson has signed with the Professional Women Hockey League’s Toronto Sceptres.

McPherson finished up her five-year NCAA women’s hockey career with Minnesota State. She played the previous four years with Vermont.

The 22-year-old goalie signed a two-year contract with the Sceptres.

The Sceptres visited the defending champion Minnesota Frost on Friday, winning 2-1. McPherson did not dress for Toronto.

Toronto will welcome its home fans back to Coca-Cola Coliseum on Saturday, Nov. 29 when they face-off against the Boston Fleet at 2 p.m.
