Chatham’s Bridget Carleton put on a shooting display, as she set a EuroLeague women’s record for three-pointers in a game on January 14, making nine treys in ZVVZ USK Praha’s 98-55 win over Flammes Carolo Basket.
Carleton, who was a star basketball player for the McGregor Panthers, was 9-12 beyond the three-point line. The 28 year-old had 29 points and added six rebounds for her team, which is based out of Prague in the Czech Republic.
The previous record for most three-pointes in a game was eight, held by eight players, including Carelton two seasons ago while playing for a Hungarian-based team.
A two-time Olympian for Canada’s women’s basketball team, Carleton has played for the WNBA’s Minnesota Lynx since 2019.
