Farmers bonspiel attracts curlers from across the province

A premier curling event is returning to Wallaceburg for its 39th year.

The All Ontario Farmers Curling Bonspiel kicks off on January 16 at the Sydenham Community Curling Club, featuring a full tournament of 28 teams is vying for a total prize pool of more than $15,000. First prize will take home $3,400 cash.

The teams will play two games, and then be seeded into flights for up to four more games to accommodate all skill levels.

The bonspiel also serves as a major fundraiser for the Sydenham Community Curling Club, which provides four sheets of curling ice, a club room, and a local meeting place for the town of Wallaceburg.
