Lancer wrestlers advance to SWOSSAA

Ursuline College Chatham sent 22 members of the wrestling squad to the LKSSAA finals held in Sarnia on Tuesday.

A total of 16 Lancer wrestlers placed in the top four, qualifying them to compete at SWOSSAA next Thursday in Windsor.

Gold medals were locked up by Emmanuella Caleb, Paige Srokosz, Anthony Parent, Cameroon Vollick and Dean Rocheleau.

Silver medals were snatched up by Anna Koleosho, Landyn Bardoel, Matt Levesque and Zack Chaney. Bronze medals were brought home by Ayden Brown, Chris Demetrius and Hunter Hottott.

Finishing fourth also earning the right to go to SWOSSAA were Lydia Morse, Austin King, Ben Easter and Logan Stepniak.

In the overall standings, UCC placed fourth overall out of seven teams. The boys team was third in the boys standings, while the girls were fourth.
