Submitted Cori Fisher
Blenheim’s Cori Fisher has committed to play softball at Bryant and Stratton College Virginia Beach in the fall.
Fisher will play second base and pitch for the Bobcats, which competes in the National Junior College Athletic Association Div. II, a two-year athletic conference.
Fisher, the daughter of Kevin and Kim Fisher, will be studying to become an athletic trainer at Bryant and Stratton Virginia Beach. The Bobcats recruit heavily in Canada, as the women’s softball team currently has six Canadians on their roster.
Last year, Fisher competed in the week-long Puerto Rico Fastpitch Cup U16. She played on the EXACT All-American select team. She was the only Canadian on the team.
Fisher plays for the Merlin Kinsmen Magic softball team, where she will suit up again this summer. A grade 12 student at Ursuline College Chatham, Fisher went to Blenheim District High School for Grade 9-11.
