Kaden Reid and his Windsor Lancers men’s volleyball team advanced to the bronze medal game of the U Sports men’s volleyball championship held in Windsor on the weekend.

Manitoba swept the competition’s hosts in three sets (25-23, 25-16 and 25-23) Sunday afternoon, winning the bronze medal at the U SPORTS BioSteel 2026 Men’s Volleyball Championship at the Toldo Lancer Centre.

Reid, a fourth-year outside hitter, was a key part of the Lancers team. Windsor had a successful season, finishing 18-2 in the Ontario University Association regular season, and losing in the OUA finals to Queen’s. Overall, Windsor had a 26-9 record.

Reid is a former Ursuline Lancer player. Western also advanced to the U Sports final eight, and went 0-2 on the weekend, losing a close match in the consolation final. Former Ursuline Lancer Jack Grochmal is on the Mustangs roster.
