Ewald brothers leading Fergus on a deep PJHL playoff run

Chatham brothers Tyler and Justin Ewald are playing a large role in the Fergus Whalers PJHL playoff run.
Fergus just won the PJHL North Conference championship, sweeping Stayner in four games. In their previous series, the Whalers won their first ever North Pollock Division title, defeating Hanover. Hanover was last year’s Schmalz Cup champions.
Fergus will now begin a best-of-seven series against Frankfort on Sunday. The winner will adance to the PJHL final against the winner of the Lakeshore-Tavistock series.
Both graduates of Chatham-Kent Secondary School, the Ewald brothers attend the University of Guelph, and are both in the accounting program. The both played for the Blenheim Blades, and in the Chatham-Kent Cyclone minor program.
Tyler is the captain of Fergus, and has 15 points in 13 playoff games. He just turned 22 years-old and is in his last year of junior hockey. This is his third year playing in Fergus.
Justin is second in team playoff scoring with 17 points in 13 playoff games. He is 20 years-old and playing his second season in a Fergus uniform.
