Tilbury goalie Owen Bienstman was selected in last week’s U18 draft

Tilbury goalie Owen Bienstman was selected in last week’s U18 draft by the Kingston Frontenacs.

Bienstman was picked in the second round, 30rh overall. He was the seventh overall goalie picked in the draft.

“Owen is a goalie with great size and a winning pedigree in Elgin-Middlesex this season,” said Frontenacs General Manager Kory Cooper. “He has a great presence in the net nad never gives up on a play.”

Bienstman spent the season with the Elgin Middlesex Canucks U18 AAA program. Prior to playing for Elgin-Middlesex, he played in the Chatham-Kent Cyclones AAA organization.
