Bridget Carleton runner-up in WNBA three-point contest

Chatham’s Bridget Carleton was the runner-up in the WNBA three-point contest, held last Friday in Chicago as part of the league’s all-star weekend.

Carleton, who plays for the Portland Fire, lost in the final of the competition to Dallas Wings rookie Azzi Fudd 30-19.

Carleton placed first in the opening round, by hitting 21 of 27 attempts for 29 points to advance to the final.
