Jordan hits the field for CFL’s Ottawa Redblacks

Chatham’s Ethan Jordan made his CFL debut with the Ottawa Redblacks on Aug. 30.

Jordan, who was called up from the team’s practice roster for the game, had one catch for six yards in a 45-24 loss to the B.C. Lions.

Jordan was called up to the active roster earlier in the season for a game, but didn’t see the field.

The Redblacks have struggled this year, with an 0-11 record. They haven’t won a game in over a year. They currently have the league’s worst offence and the worst defence.

A six-round pick of Ottawa’s in the 2025 CFL draft, Jordan had a historic five-year career with the Laurier Golden Hawks, winning the U Sport Hec Crighton Trophy as Canada’s most outstanding university player.

Ottawa next plays on Saturday, Sept. 12, in Toronto.
