Feasey steps down as Maroons head coach to take OHL job

Just 11 games into the regular season, Chatham Maroons head coach Brennan Feasey has stepped down to take an assistant coach job with an undisclosed OHL team.

The Chatham Maroons made the announcement Thursday night, shortly after Feasey coached the Maroons to the 6-3 win over the Sarnia Legionnaires.

A former Maroons player, Feasey was in his second season as head coach. Under Feasey’s guidance the Maroons have experienced success. The Maroons had the best regular season record in the GOHL last year, and so far this season the Maroons have a 9-2 record.

Maroons general manager, Richard Santos will step in as interim head coach.

In a press release, the Maroons said they are already having productive conversations and have several strong leads for the head coaching position.
