Seven Chatham-Kent Tennis Players Heading to OFSAA
Representing Chatham-Kent schools at OFSAA tennis will be UCC’s Brandon Dube and John McGregor’s Alex Goldini in boys singles, and John McGregor’s Alaysha Pereira in girls singles.
In the doubles competitions, Grecia and Graciela Alaniz of Chatham-Kent Secondary School will compete in girls doubles, while Michael Woods and Dylan McTavish from John McGregor will participate in the boys doubles tournament.
Last year, Grecia and Graciela Alaniz (CKSS) tied for seventh at the OFSAA tennis finals. In 2009, John McGregor’s Brett Alexander finished tied for fifth in boys’ singles. The Alaniz’ and Alexander represent the highest KCSSAA finishers in recent seasons.
