For much of the season, Chatham’s Andy Fantuz went unheralded for the Hamilton Tiger Cats, as the Ticats put together an up and down campaign, which culminated in a hot streak to end their season. Sunday however, when all the chips were down, Fantuz came through for Hamilton making two touchdown grabs.

Now, with the help of Fantuz’s two TDs, the Hamilton Tiger Cats will advance to play the Saskatchewan Roughriders in the 101st Grey Cup, after they defeated the Toronto Argonauts 36-24 in the CFL’s Eastern Final.

In the opening quarter, Fantuz caught a 7-yard touchdown pass from Henri Burris to put the Ticats ahead 10-7 after the first quarter. Toronto however would battle back and take a 14-point lead in the game.

Just before the half however, Fantuz would make his second touchdown reception of the game, connecting on a 4-yard pass from Burris to cut Toronto’s lead to 7.

Overall, Fantuz made 11-receptions for 114-yards. His two touchdown catches almost equalled his 12-game regular season total of 3.

Hamilton and Fantuz will face his former team, the Roughriders on November 24 in the Grey Cup. Kick off is 6pm.
