Golden Hawks Double Up On LKSSAA Volleyball Titles

Facing the UCC Lancers in both matches, CKSS dominated the court.
The Junior Golden Hawks won 3-1 (25-12, 18-25, 25-12, 25-16), and the seniors won 3-0 (25-11, 25-22, 25-10).
The turning point in the seniors match came when the Hawks came back from a 20-14 deficit to close out the second set 25-22.
“The match was a total team effort, with all team members contributing to the team’s success,” says CKSS Senior Boys coach Tim Leidl. “It was great to see both Chatham teams in the finals of our new league,” added Leidl about the newly formed LKSSAA high school league.
The Hawks host Villanova next Tuesday at 5:00 pm in the SWOSSAA ‘AAA’ Finals. Ursuline College plays host to St. Anne’s next Friday in the SWOSSAA ‘AAAA’ finals.
