Hawks Down Lancers

The Chatham-Kent Secondary School Golden Hawks downed the UCC Lancers in both Senior and Junior ‘AAA’ basketball action Monday.

In Senior Girls action, the CKSS Golden Hawks led 20-19 at the half before busting out in the third quarter en route to a 49-37 win. Burke Bechard led all scorers in the game with 15. Jana Kucera had 10, while Logan Kucera had 6, and Lauren Koluk had 5 for CKSS.

Kennedy King was UCC’s top scorer collecting 10 points in the loss.

In Junior girls action, CKSS was dominant from start to finish, defeating the UCC Lancers 59-30.

Jessica Conrod had a game high 11-points, while Taryn Dudley, Avia Stone, and Maggie Denys all had 8-points for the Golden Hawks.

Shelbie Coristine was the top scorer for UCC with 10.
