Audrey Mackay-Barr helps Ottawa win provincial and national titles

Audrey MacKay-Barr, helped backstop the University of Ottawa ringette team to a pair of championships this season.
McKay-Barr, a graduate of Ecole Secondaire Pain Court (ESPC) and a Chatham Thunder alumni, just won the Dave Bennett Cup ringette provincial gold medal with her Ottawa Gee-Gee teammates. The tournament featured eight ringette teams from Ontario’s universities. Ottawa beat Western 4-3 in the gold medal game. It was Ottawa’s second straight provincial crown.
In December, Ottawa captured the gold at the University Challenge Cup held in Guelph. The University Challenge Cup is an annual event that brings together University Ringette teams from across the country. This year’s event featured 16 teams from Alberta, British Columbia, Ontario, Nova Scotia and Saskatchewan.
MacKay-Barr has been a goalie for the University of Ottawa ringette team for the past 5 years.
