The Chatham Maroons swept the St. Thomas Stars in the Greater Ontario Hockey League’s Western Conference quarter-finals.
The Maroons sealed the best-of-seven series with a 4-1 win on Friday night in St. Thomas. Santiago Jimenes scored twice, with Matt Crawford and Dylan Richter adding single markers.
Xandre Aitken was the Maroons leading scorer in the first round with six points.
The Maroons need 12 more wins to take home their second straight Sutherland Cup.
