Chatham’s Oliver Campbell and his teammate Katie Ford are competing at the Canadian Mixed Doubles Curling Championships being held March 21-27, 2026, at the Cloverdale Curling Club, Surrey, B.C.

They opened the tournament with a 10-1 win in their first round-robin game on Friday.

Twenty-eight teams from across the country — including 14 Member Association champions — will be competing for not only the top prize of $20,000, but the right to represent Canada at the 2027 World Mixed Doubles Championship.

Team Ford/Campbell qualified based on from through the Canadian Mixed Doubles Rankings (CMDR). The 28 teams are divided into four pools of seven, with the pools formed based on the CMDR as of Feb. 18.

Each team will play six games within its respective round-robin pool, with the final round-robin draw set for Wednesday, March 25, at 4 p.m.

The four pool winners will be seeded directly into the playoff quarterfinals, scheduled for March 26 at 7 p.m.

The next eight best round-robin win-loss records will earn berths in the playoff qualification round, which is scheduled for March 26 at 1 p.m.

Campbell is a John McGregor Secondary School graduate. He curled at the university level with the Laurier Golden Hawks.
