Jordan on Ottawa practice roster

Chatham’s Ethan Jordan will start the CFL season on the Ottawa Redblack’s practice roster.

Jordan had two catches for 37 yards in Ottawa’s last pre-season game on May 29 against Montreal. Ottawa won 27-3.

A CFL rookie, Jordan had a standout career for the Laurier Golden Hawks, winning the 2025 Hec Crighton Trophy, as the most outstanding player in Canadian university football. He was a four-time all-Canadian receiver. Jordan owns the OUA career record with 239 catches and is second in OUA history with 3,458 receiving yards and 30 touchdown catches.

Ottawa chose Jordan in the sixth round of the 2025 CFL draft.

The Ottawa Redblacks will play their first regular-season game against the Edmonton Elks on Saturday, June 6.

Ottawa finished fourth in the East Division standings in 2025 with a 4-14 record, missing the playoffs for the fifth time in the last six seasons. Ryan Dinwiddie was hired as the team’s head coach and general manager after the firing of Bob Dyce.
