Vanroboys signs with AHL club

Thamesville’s Lucas Vanroboys has signed with the Hartford Wolf Pack, the New York Rangers AHL affiliate.

Vanroboys to a one-year contract for the 2026-27 season.

The 26 year-old, split the 2025-26 season between the AHL’s San Jose Barracuda and the ECHL’s Wichita Thunder. With the Barracuda, Vanroboys recorded seven points (4 goals, 3 assists) in 33 games. In 20 games with the Thunder, he notched 12 points (5 goals, 7 assists). He also played in two Calder Cup Playoff games with the Barracuda.

Over the course of three seasons in the AHL, Vanroboys has took part in 107 games with the Barracuda, scoring 24 points (16 goals, 8 assists).

Prior to turning pro, the 6’2”, 190-lbs forward played five seasons of college hockey. He spent four seasons with Bentley Univ. (2019-20 – 2022-23) and one season at UMass (2023-24). I
