Former Maroon on NHL Central Scouting’s watch list for draft

Former Chatham Maroon Gensen Geldart was listed on NHL Central Scouting’s Preliminary Players to Watch List for the 2027 NHL draft.

The list was released last week.

A Toronto native, Geldart started his season with the Maroons last year, putting up 15 points in 18 games. The impressive start led him to being called up to the OHL’s Saginaw Spirit last year, where he played 45 games. This season with Saginaw, Geldart has two points in 11 games.

The 17 year-old Geldart received a W rating in the preliminary list, which is late round ranking.
