Addyson White

Walpole Island First Nation’s Addyson White, is able to pursue two of her passions—lacrosse and dance, as she pursues her post-secondary education.

A first-year student at Ontario Tech University in Oshawa, White is a member of Ontario Tech’s women’s lacrosse team.

The 18 year-old Ursuline College grad also has been selected for the Firewolves Fury Dance Team, the professional dance team for the Oshawa Firewolves of the National Lacrosse League.

White has been dancing since the age of five, spending 10 years as a competitive dancer, and is also a committed lacrosse player who carries a deep love of the game.

The Oshawa Firewolves will host Indigenous Heritage Night on January 3 at the Tribute Communities Centre in Oshawa, when they take on the Ottawa Black Bears.
